Here's my classroom book I am working on.  I need a few more letters, so if you have any great ideas, let me know.  I am thinking of publishing this one on Shutterfly and then sending it home with a different student each night.  They will read it with their families and bring it back the next day.

  1. Randa, I love your idea of having this as your picture book and then letting the students take it home! I am not sure where you are located but the first thing that came to my mind for U was umbrella - I am in Vancouver so I guess that's why. Also for W what would you think of having the 2nd sentence for W say "We are all wonderful writers?" Great job!

  2. This would make a great picture book. Q could be quick. How quickly the year has passed? X for xylophone? This is such a cute idea. Can't wait to see it!

  3. Wonderful idea to make this into you picture book! I also thought of Umbrella for U - and I am also in Vancouver.

I like the idea of Quick for Q as well. I know that it does not begin with X, but maybe you could use the word eXciting - since so many exciting things happen in kindergarten? That's a tough one.

Great idea! Can't wait to see the finished product.
